Workshop on “Skilling India to build India” to be held for entire North-East region

A two-day regional workshop on ‘Skilling India to build India’ would be held on April 18 and 19 at Singjamei Heirangoithong and Manipur University respectively under the aegis of the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and the Federation of Skill Development Organisation (FSDO).

Many digniteries like Manipur Governor VS Shanmuganathan, Tripura Governor Tathagata Roy, Union Minister of State (Tourism) Mahesh Sharma, FSDO chairman Anil Holsamudrakar, BJP Rashtriya Mahila Morcha president Vijaya Rahatkar, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship(MSDE) Joint Secretary Rajesh Agarwal, MU Vice-Chancellor Prof H Nandakumar, MLA Th Bishwajit and MLA Kh Joykishan will participate in this workshop.

The topics to be included in the workshop will be deliberate on myriad topics such as agriculture, horticulture, herbal plantation, integrated plantation, cinematography, animation, creative arts, building and constructions, masonry, plumbing and electrification, hospitality, tour guidance, table planner, house-keeping etc. General secretary L Boby, BJP Mahila Morcha said that Imphal was selected to host the workshop for the entire North East region by the National Skill Development Organisation in response to an application submitted by the BJP Mahila Morcha towards this effect.

She then appealed to all the people of Manipur to capitalise on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiative to bring the North East region at par with other regions of the country.
