Selected candidates to get skill training for upcoming Worldskills Competition, Gems & Jewelry Skill Council of India (GJSCI) signs an MoU

Mr. Premkumar Kothari, Chairman of Gem & Jewelry Skill Council of India (GJSCI) awarded a certificate of `Center of Excellence’ to Grau Bar Design, Indore. GJSCI has also signed a MoU with the centre head Mr. Parag Vyas, who holds expertise in training candidates for Worldskills Competitions. Mr. Parag Vyas also has been certified as a `Master Trainer’.

The Memorandum of Understanding entails Mr. Vyas training candidates selected by GJSCI’s Technical Committee, for the upcoming Worldskill Competition, Abu Dhabi, 2017 Kazan, Worldskills Competition 2019, as well as the Worldskills Competition 2021. There are currently 4 candidates undergoing this training for the competitions.

A succession plan is initiated to take over training of the candidates for the future Worldskills Competitions from 2021 onward. Under the mentor-ship of Mr. Parag Vyas, 4 candidates will be shortlisted for this special training which will be monitored by GJSCI by 2017. Mr. Parag Vyas would further be involved in enhancing the education and training with preparing a Manual and a Video to take the training across India. Other aspects of training which would be developed would include GJSCI providing a Train the Trainer Institute, with a capacity of training 25 Master Trainers every year, a special grooming course for all Worldskills candidates, research and development by Mr. Parag Vyas and more.
