Vocational Training Certificates awarded to female students by Maharashtra State Board of Vocational Education (MSBVE)

Pune : Sterlite Technologies, which is building efficiency through its end-to-end telecom products, solutions and software offerings, awarded 90 female students with vocational training certificates through Jeewan Jyoti, its CSR initiative here.

Jyoti Agarwal, founder, Jeewan Jyoti said in a statement issued that, “Among the 90 students felicitated, 81 students were awarded the passing certificates issued by the Maharashtra State Board of Vocational Education (MSBVE) for completing the six-month vocational training courses and nine were presented the certificates for two-month course in Basic Tally ERP 9, which will enable them to secure opportunities in the field of accounting.”

S K Hedge, founder – Hedge Tailoring Institute, Pune and Bagheshwari Ponkshe, Head – Gramin Vikas, Jnana Prabodhini, Pune were the chief guests while Shrikant Deshpande, branch Manager, State Bank of India, Ambavane, Sneha Nitsure, co-ordinator, Jnana Prabodhini, Pune, and Pradnya Patil, founder, Omkar Enterprises graced the occasion.

With technical education gaining importance due to increasing demand for skilled and semi-skilled resources, Jeewan Jyoti conducts vocational training on basic beauty culture, computer operations, data entry, tailoring, fashion designing, English speaking and nursing.

The Jeewan Jyoti Institute has impacted the lives of the women in and around 40 villages near Ambavane, in Bhor and Velhe Taluka of Pune region and improved their socio-economic status through vocational training and skill development, the statement added.
