CREDAI appointed as Lead Partner for World Skill Competition 2017 by National Skill Development Corporation-NSDC

Recognizing CREDAI’s efforts in upskilling of construction workers across the country, the National Skills Development Corporation (NSDC) has appointed CREDAI, the ‘Lead Partner’ for World Skills Competition 2017, due to be held in Abu Dhabi. Kushal and Rustomjee Academy for Global Careers (RAGC) are the associate partners for this competition.

CREDAI being the apex body of real estate developers across India, with a strong base of 11, 500 members spread across 24 states and 159 city chapters will spearhead the selection and training of construction workers for the World Skills Competition 2017. Kushal and RAGC, the training partners of CREDAI in skill development of construction workers will help CREDAI in selection process and holding regional competitions. Best performers from each region will climb up to compete within the gamut on a National level for India Skill Competition, due to be held in Kanpur in July 2016 in the presence of Honorable Prime Minister of India, Shri. Narendra Modi.

Commenting on CREDAI’s appointment for WSC 2017, Jitendra Thakker, Chairman for the Skill Development committee at CREDAI said, “We feel elated to be the lead partner for World Skills Competition 2017. We extend our thanks to NSDC for acknowledging CREDAI’s efforts in skilling of construction workers in India. Our team is fully committed to this responsibility and is cognizant of the trust placed in its execution.”

Last year in 2015, two of CREDAI trainees Parusharam Naik and Tikam Singh won Bronze medals for India in the task of bricklaying and tiling at the 43rd World Skills Competition held in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Intending to continue this contribution, Getamber Anand, President, CREDAI National, said, “This is the result of the efforts of the CREDAI’s involvement in the skill development initiatives of construction workers. Partnering with NSDC as the lead partner for the India Skills Competition and World Skills Competition is a great honor for us and recognition of the CREDAI’S commitment towards skill development and towards making India the skills capital of the world. India has potential to produce world class talent and we are certain that our trainees will bring laurels to the country. We are thankful to NSDC for having faith in our vision.”
