All India Board of Technician Education (AIBTE) constituted by AICTE, nominates Vishwesh Kulkarni of Yashaswi group on Board

PUNE: The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has constituted the board to promote skill and vocational education in the country under the name ‘All India Board of Technician Education’ recently. Vishwesh Kulkarni, president of Yashaswi Institute was nominated as a member of AIBTE of AICTE.

The objective of the board is to device the policies in the area of vocational and skill education. Then board is supposed to implement this on a pan India level. Vishwesh Kulkarni has been nominated as a member of the board for a period of three years.

Yashaswi is one the pioneer institutes in the area of skill development and is a partner of National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). Apart from this, Yashaswi has also been recently appointed as the third party aggregator under the Apprenticeship Act 1961 by the Directorate of General Training (DGT), Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.

The National Apprenticeship Training Scheme in India is a one year programme equipping technically qualified youth with practical knowledge and skills required in their field of work. The Apprentices are imparted training by the organizations at their place of work. During the period of apprenticeship, the apprentices are paid a stipend amount, 50% of which is reimbursable to the employer from Government of India. At the end of the training period the apprentices are issued a Certificate of Proficiency by Government of India which can be registered at all employment exchanges across India as valid employment experience.

Its earn and learn program has been recognized as the ‘best skill initiative in India’ by the ministry. More than 20000 students are getting on-the-job training under its flagship scheme of Earn and Learn.
