Arunachal Government keen for Skill Development, sent 135 candidates outside state to get skilled

Itanagar : Department of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship has sent 135 candidates for training outside the state, for which a briefing –cum-send off Programme was organized in Udyog Sadan, Itanagar. 40 candidates will be trained in Injection Molding Machine Operator (IMMO) in plastic sector at Central Institute of Plastic Engineering Technology (CIPET) at Balasore (Odisha), a GOI undertaking under the Ministry of Petro Chemicals, 60 will be trained in Integrated Course in Beauty & Hair Dressing at SBJ Centre for Excellence at Greater Noida and 35 will be trained in Information Communication Technology (ICT) at JIS Institute of Skill Development at Kolkotta.

Director, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Subu Tabin, along with Dy Director (Skill Development)K. Sarma, Assistant Director J. Riba, Administrative Officer, A. Lapung and representative of respective Vocational Training Providers (VTP) briefed the youth about the training programme. “It is important to mention that 99 per cent of trainees are going outside the state for the first time. As such, giving orientation programme to the trainees are immense important” Director Tabin. The cost of the training are being borne by Govt.

At the end of the training the candidates will undergo an assessment to be conducted by an empanelled and professional organization and 70 percent Job placement at minimum monthly salary of Rs. 10,000/- in hand will be offered to the candidates. The trade certificate will be provided to successful candidate by National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT), New Delhi.
