UGC in collaboration with Ministry of Skills and AICTE organized Vocational Education Leadership Training

The University Grants Commission (UGC) under the aegis of AIEC (Australia India Education Council) organized a vocational education leadership training programme (VELT) conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) designed to impart professional development training delivered by TAFE (Technical and further Education) for skill development institutions across the country. In Punjab, only the Kaushal Kendra of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya was selected for the prestigious training course.

The programme was structured into five workshops on topics of institute leadership, including governance, industry integration (engagement), Australian Qualifications framework and methods of implementation at institute level, regulatory frameworks and quality assurance and globalization, international partnerships and networks.  These workshops provided a clear contextualization of skill development programmes in Indian context and were followed by healthy discussions. Principal Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated Dr Gopi Sharma and other faculty members of the Kaushal Kendra.
