Kozhikode (Kerala) : Excise Minister T P Ramakrishnan said the labour department will set up skill development unit at the Government Mental Health Centre at Kuthiravattom. Addressing the gathering after inaugurating the seminar on mental health treatment- challenges and possibilities organised by the Information and Public Relations Department at IMA hall here on Saturday. Labour minister said the state government will entrust director of employment to visit the mental health centre to set up the Skill development unit .
A Pradeep Kumar MLA who presided over the function stressed the need of developing Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (IMHANS) along with the Kuthiravattom mental health centre. Sub collector K Gopalakrishnan, Additional district medical officer Dr Asha Devi, district information officer K T Shekar , IMA Kozhikode branch president Dr P N Ajitha spoke on the occasion.
