Technology Centre for Skill Development to be set up in Faridabad

New Delhi : In order to promote skill development in the state the Technical Education Department of the government of Haryana has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) for setting up a technology centre in Faridabad.

The MoU has been signed by the chairman-cum-managing director of NSIC Ravindra Nath and principal secretary, Anil Malik, Technical Education Department of Haryana government.

According to the Union Secretary of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) K. K. Jalan the construction of the centre will be completed by 2017 and it will start its operations from April 2017. Moreover, at the centre not only training will be provided to the youth, but they will also be assisted in getting employment after completing their training. According to Malik, the new technology centre will provide a boost to industrial development in the state in general and in Faridabad in particular. Moreover, in the first year of its operation the centre will train around 2000 students and the number will be increased in the future.
