Ara (Bihar) : Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated First Model Skill Development Center of Bhojpur which aims to impart training to unemployed youth in various job sectors. The centre was inaugurated through video conferencing by PM and Ara’s  MP RK Singh lit the ceremonial lamp and formally inaugurated the training centre.

Speaking on the occasion Singh said, “Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra (PMKK) will definitely transform the landscape of the state. This skill development centre will also play a vital role in tapping the vast potential of the unemployed youth as envisioned by our PM. India is a young nation and a large chunk of the population is youth. Energy of youths cannot be channelized unless they are imparted skills that will help them in securing a livelihood.”

PMKK also aims at reaching out to every block and villages in the country to ensure that all unemployed youth receive adequate skill training in the field of their choice, said the MP.

Cautioning the training partners and the firm that will run the skill developing training centre at Ara, the MP said, “Responsibility of training partners and the company which manages the centre does not end with imparting industry-relevant skill trainings to the youth. The firm will not get full payment unless it ensures placement of candidates and regular monitoring of their skill development”. The Ara MP was accompanied by district BJP spokesperson Sanjay Tiger. PMKK is an initiative of IL&FS Skills Development Corporation, ministry of skill development and entrepreneurship, and National Skill Development Corporation.
