“Saksham Jharkhand” Kaushal Vikas Scheme launched, CM shared road-map for skilling


Ranchi : Addressing people after inauguration of Saksham Jharkhand Kaushal Vikas Scheme, Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that the government was initiating the scheme to train people and make them able to get jobs and self-employed. “The government is promoting the honest workers.

The trainers of institutions showing diligence will be sent to Singapore for training. The government will also give Rs 2 lakh to the candidates getting job in a good company after completing training,” he said.

Das said that 45,000 people will be appointed in 2017 including 18,000 teachers and 2200 forest guards. “The government will meet corporate and PSU officials in order to understand their demand and students will be trained accordingly.

It will provide training regarding agriculture, automotive, BFSI, construction, electronics, healthcare, IT, plumbing, tourism and hospitality, apparel, beauty and wellness, capital goods, domestic workers, food processing, iron and steel, logistic and retail. In the next 5 years, 20 lakh people will be trained through 95 skill development centers of the state,” he said.

The CM said that separate secretaries and boards along with experts will be made for cottage, small, handicraft, silk and lac industries. “The produced thing will be designed, packaged, branded and marketed in the global market. The youths and women of the village will be skilled. The government will extend every help in skilling the villages. The government is focusing on higher and technical education. For skill development, the government is signing MoU with Singapore Institute of Technology which will train the children also,” he said.

The CM said that a separate skill development center will be set up for the development of the women. They will be trained in tailoring, weaving, poultry, sericulture, dairy and other skills. He said that our notion should change for development of the state.

HRD Minister Neera Yadav said that youths will be trained according to their taste and interest and make themselves self-dependent. The government is making proper arrangement to stop migration of the youth. It will also prove to be an effective tool in combating extremism and terrorism, she said.

The CM handed over appointment letters to nine trained youths and two trainers. He inaugurated online Draughtsman Mechanical Course run by NTTF RD TATA Technical Education Centre.

MLA Naveen Jaiswal, Mayor Asha Lakra, CS Rajbala Verma, Additional CS Amit Khare, Education Secretary Ajay Singh and other senior officers were also present during the programme.
