Skills Minister Rudy discussed government plans for skill development with Tata Group officials

New Delhi : Union Minister Rajiv Pratap Rudy discussed skill development opportunities in the country with Tata Group officials with an aim to improve the employability potential of youths. He shared his government’s vision to tackle the unemployment challenge and the skill deficit faced by industry. He also highlighted that his government welcomes suggestions and is flexible to consider industry recommendations if they can help to improve the delivery mechanism.

“Discussing skilling opportunities with officials of @TataCompanies @MSDESkillindia. Hoping to skill youths for better employability,” the Union Minister of State Skill Development and Entrepreneurship tweeted.

The government plans to skill 40.2 crore workers by 2022 and a number of initiatives such as the new National Skill Development and Entrepreneurship 2015, Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana and the skill loan scheme have been launched to attain the objective.
