Kerala University launches online open course platform to sharpen skills ‘Without Paying Fee’

Thiruvanthapuram : In a first-of-its-kind move, Kerala University launched a massive online open course (MOOC) platform. MOOC online courses are aimed at unlimited participation and open access via the web. From now onwards, the university will be offering a series of short-term courses online.

Achuthsankar S Nair, professor, department of Computational Biology and Bioinformatics, University of Kerala is the instructor for the courses. The first online MOOC course being offered by KU is on the subject ‘making powerful multimedia presentations’.

The course has been designed in such a way that someone who is already familiar with making of PowerPoint presentations would be able to sharpen their presentation skills in six weeks, that too without paying any fee.

The course is aimed at imparting perspectives and moderate skills in improving multimedia presentation skills. If you are a person already into making Microsoft Office PowerPoint or LibreOffice-Impress presentations, then you are eligible to sign up for this MOOC.
