Varanasi (UP) : An education conference ‘Taleem-o-Tarbiyat’, the skill development program in computer training and designing and a financial literacy Workshop for the minority and underprivileged sections of the society, was held on 19th February at the Swatantrata Bhawan of Banaras Hindu University.

Over 4000 students participated in the proceedings where distinguished personalities and experts from education, banking, army, finance, investment, information technology, business and other related fields spoke and conducted the workshop.

Chancellor, Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Zafar Sareshwala said the agenda behind the initiative is to encourage different communities, especially Muslims, to get equipped with knowledge and skill through education.

“We want everyone in the country to be educated and this can be possible through ‘Taleem’ and ‘Tarbiyat’. Since Muslims are the most socio-economically backward community in the country, I urge the youth, especially girls, to engage with the government and take benefit of its diverse welfare schemes,” he said.

“We want to start this as a movement and develop awareness among the masses about the unlimited possibilities that a good Taleem offers and the huge number of schemes and incentives available both through the central and state governments,” Sareshwala said.
