5,000 sq.ft. state-of-art ‘Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra’ inaugurated in Morigaon at Assam

Morigaon : Union Minister of State for Railways, Rajen Gohain formally inaugurated a Model Skill Development Centre (Pradhan Mantri Kushal Kendra) amidst a huge gathering.

It is an initiative of the Union Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. Candidates will be skilled under the Pradhan Manti Kushal Vikash Yojana. Inaugurating the Centre, Minister Gohain said that the new Skill Development Centre will help youths to become self-employed in Morigaon district.

In a function held on the occasion, Morigaon Deputy Commissioner Hemen Das and chairperson of Morigaon Municipal Board Archana Bordoloi also spoke. The Morigaon Skill Development Centre will run industry-driven courses of high quality with focus on employability and hence create an aspiration for vocational training.

The Centre is spread over a carpet area of more than 5,000 sq.ft. with state-of-the-art infrastructure. It will provide training on Apparel – Sewing Machine Operator, Beauty and Wellness – Assistant Beautician and Telecom Customer Care Executive, besides several other trades.
