Ministry of Rural Development Gazetted Notification regarding Aadhaar requirement under DDU-GKY

Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India is administering the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojna (DDU-GKY), the skill training and placement programme focusing on the rural youth with emphasis on sustainable employment.Since, the benefits under DDU-GKY involve recurring expenditure from the Consolidated Fund of India, in pursuance of the provision of section 7 of the Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Act, 2016 (18 of 2016) (hereinafter referred to the said Act), the Central Government hereby notifies that

An individual eligible to receive benefits under the DDU-GKY shall be required to furnish proof of possession of Aadhaar number or undergo Aadhaar authentication.

All individuals eligible to receive benefits under the DDU-GKY, who do not possess the Aadhar number or has not yet enrolled for Aadhar, but desirous of availing benefits under the DDU-GKY shall have to apply for Aadhar enrollment by 31st March 2017, in case he or she is entitled to obtain Aadhar as per section 3 of the said Act and such individuals may visit any Aadhar enrollment center (list available at www.uidai.gov.in) for Aadhar enrollment.

Department in charge of DDU-GKY implementation in State Government or Union Territory Administration may provide enrollment facilities at convenient location
