Life Sciences Sector Skill Development Council organizing session to push Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) mandate for Skill Certification in pharma sector

New Delhi :  NSDC led Life Sciences Sector Skill Development Council (LSSSDC) in association with Himachal Pradesh Kaushal Vikas Nigam (HPKVN), Himachal Pradesh Drug Controller Department and leading industry chamber Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) is organizing an interactive and productive session on improving the performance workers in the pharma and biotech sector. The event will be held on April 11, 2017 at the Legend Sarovar Portico in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm.

The move follows Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) mandating for Skill Certification under the Skill India Mission. The day-long industry workshop will highlight the DCGI circular issued by the CDSCO. The panel of speakers will be Dr. Navneet Marwaha, Commissioner FDA – Himachal Pradesh, Rajesh Sharma – MD (HPKVN), Dr. Dinesh Dua, Immediate Past Chairman, Chandigarh Council (CII).

The objective of the seminar is to interpret and resolve any kind of challenges faced by the industries regarding Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). It will help the participants of the pharma industry to take cognizance of the Assessment Process & the Bridge Training. It will update the industry about various benefits of participation in Skill Development.

The event will also share the requirement from the life sciences industry on various job roles, so that the skilling can be initiated in Himachal Pradesh itself. The industry will now be supported by LSSSDC by signing a non-financial MoU.

CEO / COO / Plant Heads or other senior management members of the pharmaceutical units may attend the seminar. Maximum two participants per business entity may attend the seminar.
