State Skill Development Corporation and several companies of Bengaluru and Hyderabad, Vice-Chancellor Y. Narasimhulu said on Tuesday.

The university decided to start two new post-graduate courses — MBA (Business Analytics) and M.Sc. (Data Sciences) — from the next academic year and was planning to start M.Sc. MBA (Business Analytics) course was the first of its kind in Andhra Pradesh and two Data Analytics laboratories were started in the university. Engineering students would also be admitted into the courses through ICET, he said.

Rayalaseema University would apply for accreditation of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) this year and would submit self-assessment reports by August, Prof. Narasimhulu said. The university would recruit about 20 to 25 faculty members on contract basis as per the University Grants Commission norms. At least 10 seats were increased in all the courses in the university, he added.

The university’s PG common entrance test, RUPGCET, would be conducted online at Kurnool, Nandyal and Adoni centres in three sessions a day from May 25 to 27. Students have to apply online and admissions would be finalized online, he said.
