Kolhapur district skill development committee decided to impart training to 18,000 youth

Kolhapur : Earlier last week, the Kolhapur district skill development action committee conducted a meeting at the district collector office, wherein the year 2017-18’s skill development was discussed.

Resident deputy collector Sanjay Shinde said that the industries in the district are in dire need of skilled manpower for which the required courses should be introduced for the candidates, which will help in imparting better skills and eventually producing better workforce.

He added that the industries, government administration, and the vocational training centres need to be on the same page when it comes to the training candidates.

He added that the plan that has been made for the upcoming year discussed the introduction of new courses, the upcoming industries which will need skilled workforce for their work. He also advised taking in the consideration, the geographical need of the courses, which can be introduced according to the need of any particular region.
