Govt. of Manipur organizing workshop on “Sustainable Skill Development in the Higher Education : Problems & Prospects”

Imphal : After successful implementations of the skill based vocational programmes in Healthcare, Food and Media Sectors at the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Centre for Knowledge Acquisition and Upgradation of the Skilled Human Abilities and Livelihood(DDU KAUSHAL Kendra) at Dhanamanjuri Community College for the last three years under the University Grants Commission(UGC), New Delhi, the Advisory Committee of the Centre decided to host a 1-Day Workshop cum Sensitization Programme on the theme: “Sustainable Skill Development in the Higher Education: Problems & Prospects” to be held on the 8th May 2017 from 8 am onwards.

The Workshop which is being arranged at the regional level is organized under the UGC Scheme of the DDU KAUSHAL Kendra at Dhanamanjuri Community College, D M College of Science, Imphal with an objective to sensitize all stakeholders/ teachers/ students/parents on the problems, prospects & sustainability of the skill based vocational programmes in the higher education sector in this part of the Country.

The Joint Secretary to the UGC (NERO), Guwahati, Government of India shall address the sessions during the Workshop highlighting modalities of further implementations.

All students, stakeholders, parents and teachers who intend to attend the Workshop may therefore, contact the undersigned on or before the 6th May 2017 in the interest of promoting skill based vocational programmes among the youths.
