Internshala, lndia’s largest internship platform, enters into an agreement with All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to facilitate students with the internships who are enrolled in AICTE approved academic institutions. The MoU has been signed and witnessed by the representatives of the both institutions, Prof. Sahasrabudhe, Chairman, AICTE and Chief Executive Officer, Internshala, Sarvesh Agrawal.
AICTE, the statutory body under Ministry of Human Resource and Development (MHRD) is working to improve the employability of students and is planning to mandate internships for all the students enrolled in AICTE approved academic institutions. To facilitate internships for all such students, AICTE is exploring a partnership with different stakeholders and has identified Internshala as a potential partner.
On lnternshala, students could find internships in all domains such as engineering, management, applied arts, architecture, design, law, hotel management, and so forth. Students can search and apply for internships listed on Internshala for free.
As part of this MoU, Internshala, with the help of AICTE, get all the colleges affiliated under AICTE to register their students on the portal. It will also make all the necessary resources (internships, free applications, counseling, and guidance) available to students registered through this partnership. It also aims to showcase success stories of the students landing internships successfully through offline and online media platforms and not only this, Internshala will also appoint successful candidates as internship ambassadors. Wherein, AICTE will acknowledge Internshala as Internship Partner in all external communications to the institutions and the general public, will notify academic institutions to encourage them to use the portal effectively. AICTE will support media coverage to build awareness about internships among students by issuing press releases, success stories of students, internship trends & surveys from time to time.
