Andhra University to conduct workshops on soft skills regularly to make students employable

Visakhapatnam:  Workshops on Soft Skills and Communication Skills would be conducted on a regular basis to all students and research scholars in the University, said Prof. K. Gayathri Devi, Principal of Colleges of Arts and Commerce and Member of the Executive Council of Andhra University.

Prof. Gayathri Devi was speaking as Chief Guest at the Valedictory function of the Eighth Batch Training Programme on Soft Skills conducted in the Lab for Skill Development in Andhra University. Prof. Gayathri Devi said that so far 500 students and 120 research scholars were given training on Soft Skills and Personality development through Lab for Skill Development. She said that the Government of Andhra Pradesh sanctioned a Skill Development centre for Arts College and would provide computers and other infrastructural facilities.

Prof. Gayathri Devi said that the training programs on Soft Skills will be conducted on a continuous basis to make the students employable. Challa Krishnaveer Abhishek, Soft Skills Faculty of Andhra University, explained about the inputs given to the students and research scholars. Prof. Gayathri Devi distributed certificates to the participants. Krishnaveer Abhishek, Dr.K. Santhi, Dr.C.V.S. Ravindranath, Dr. N. Mani, resource persons were felicitated on the occasion.
