Singapore supported Global Skill Park to start its journey from Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV) campus

Bhopal : Global Skill Park, an ambitious project of the state government, is going to start its journey from Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV) campus. The university has vacated a building to run the course.

University V-C Sunil Kumar said the state government had planned to established the Global Skill Park with the help of the Government of Singapore. The technical education department run Institute for Technical Education Standard (ITES) of Singapore will provide technical teaching support to the government of MP. The directorate of technical education and skill development is running ITIs in the state and the MoU has been signed with ITES of Singapore government to run the ITI courses. He added one whole building with 10 halls had been vacated to run the classes. In the building around six courses could be taught. The responsibility of the university was to provide only an infrastructure to run the classes, Kumar said.

The faculty will come from ITES and conduct the training of trainers, who will in turn teach the students. The Global Skill Park will be established at Govindpura Industrial Area, in 37 acres of land.
