“Skills for All” is the theme for World Youth Skills Day 2017

Every year World Youth Skills Day is celebrated all over the world to raise awareness about the issue of unemployment among youth. The United Nations General Assembly in November 2014, declared 15th July as World Youth Skills Day. Every year UN sets a theme and motivates people by addressing the issues related to vocational & Technical Education, training and the development of other skills.

“Skills for All” is the World Youth Skills Day 2017 Theme for the current year. If we observe the statistics youth are almost three times more likely unemployed when compared to adults. Most of the youth are exposed to the lower quality of jobs. Federal Government has launched N number of World Youth Skills Day Activities for providing free training and skills to youth. These short professional and internship courses will help them to earn their livelihood in an honorable way.

Youth are the back bone of any country, but today we have many young graduates facing unemployment problem. Every Country has set many goals to overcome unemployment and improve skills not only for the development of individual but also for the growth of the Country. Education and Training plays a vital role to get success in the labor market. Candidates with prominent skills will get a job of his choice. World Youth Skills Day 2017 will help the students to enhance their skills and gives them a chance to contribute their skills to the society.

World Youth Skill Day in India 2017 is given more importance as there are many candidates facing unemployment problem due to lack of skills. Govt of India already started Skill India Mission on 15th July 2015 to overcome the problem of youth unemployment and youth unemployablity by equipping youth with industry need specific skills.
