Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation (TNSDC) organized awareness rally

Tamil Nadu : To create awareness on the various skill training programme provided by Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation (TNSDC) and enable youth to enrol for the programmes, a rally was taken out here recently.

As part of India Skills Week 2017, the Department of Employment and Training is conducting various activities from July 10 to 15 including skill training programmes on the theme ‘Skills for a better future’, awareness in government school on various skill training courses offered at Industrial Training Institutes and interaction with women entrepreneurs. These programmes were conducted till July 14 and on the final day, an awareness rally was conducted.

A rally was flagged off by Erode Revenue Divisional Officer R. Narmada Devi in the presence of District Employment Officer C. Subramanian and Government ITI Principal Rajan near Government Thanthai Periyar Headquarters Hospital. As many as 250 participants who were undergoing various training programmes took part in the rally that passed through EVN Road, Chennimalai Road before culminating near the District Employment Office. Participants held placards on the important of enhancing the skills for growth in career and also for getting new job opportunities.

Officials said that training is provided in over 1,500 specialized areas and interested can visit www.tnskill.tn.gov.in to get details. They can also apply online for the courses, they added. Interested can contact the Office of the District Employment or the Industrial Training Institute.
