Odisha Government decided to collaborate Facebook for “Digital Marketing Skill Development”

Bubaneswar : The state government has decided to organize hands-on workshops for Micro, Small and Medium Women Entrepreneurs (MSME) and Women Self Help Groups (SHGs) on ‘Digital Marketing Skills’ in collaboration with Facebook in line with the Mission of the state government to promote entrepreneurship and digital literacy.

Facebook has reportedly agreed to partner with state government to train 25,000 MSME and SHG entrepreneurs till August 2018.

As per reports such workshops will be held at various locations including Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Balasore, Berhampur, Angul, Sambalpur, Rourkela, Rayagada, Jeypore, Puri and Keonjhar etc, said sources.

The primary objective of these workshops is to help skill and train MSME entrepreneurs, SHGs and artisans of the state to go digital and grow their business by optimal use of social media.

Facebook team would train such teams in digital skills for promotion of their respective products and services so as to increase their market and clients.

The first such hands-on workshop for MSME women entrepreneurs and SHGs will be held on August 10 in the state capital. Over 800 women entrepreneurs are expected to participate in the workshop.
