New Delhi : Top corporate executives from dozens of organizations on Friday formed Global Association for Corporate Services (GACS), a non-profit organization aimed for knowledge sharing and skill development. The organization will help lower level employees in enhancing their skills and will also promote make in India initiative.
“When top corporate executives from different organizations come under one roof, one can get tremendous amount of knowledge, experience and opportunities. Many other organizations like ASSOCHAM and CII are also functional in enhancement of business and corporate sectors but this particular organization will leave an impact on the lower level employees,” said Sameer Saxena, one of the founder members of GACS.
He said the workers of Information Technology, Information Technologies Enabled Services (ITES), manufacturing and other services have come under one roof for knowledge sharing and better job opportunities.
Corporate bosses from different organizations participated in the event held on Friday night at Manekshaw auditorium in Delhi Cantonment area and shared their experiences.
“The aim is to enhance the skill of the worker at the grassroots level. We are facing stiff competition in corporate, manufacturing and other industries from countries like China, Philippines, Taiwan and Indonesia. All we want is to set a benchmark that is higher than other countries. By the help of this organization, we will not only enhance the skills of our work force, but will also create new job opportunities,” said Captian Rajesh Sharma, another founder members of GACS.
