Andhra Pradesh HRD conducted seminar on “System Strengthening for Quality Education and Skills”

Amravati: The Human Resource Development Ministry of the Government of Andhra Pradesh and Kovida Ltd, Hyderabad jointly conducted a one-day seminar on “System Strengthening for Quality Education and Skills” at the state Secretariat on Monday.

The seminar aimed at improving the quality of education from basic to higher levels and to impart skills so that the Indian youth are prepared for 21st century opportunities and challenges.

The organizers opined that system strengthening can be achieved through various initiatives like enhancing the capacity building of personnel, enhancing the delivery capacity, improving statutory regulations, ensuring coordination, cooperation and team building and increasing analytical capacity to improve system efficiency and delivery.

The organizers claimed that in the wake of the National Education Policy 2016, under evolution, energizing the draft NEP deliverance through practical field implementation strategies is the need of the hour.

They set objectives like improving HDI through education and skills, convergence of policies and programs for productivity, restructuring and strengthening district education administration, implementation of strategies for connected departments for achieving outcomes and field impacts, improving education standards, skills and student streaming at secondary stage into college and career pathways, ensuring primary school readiness for most marginalized children, promote, drive and achieve district economic development through education, skills, and entrepreneurship. Senior officials of the HRD ministry and other concerned departments attended the seminar.
