Thiruvananthapuram : An aviation academy of international standards will be established in the state under the Kerala Academy for Skills and Excellence (KASE).
It was decided at a meeting between Excise and Labour Minister T P Ramakrishnan and Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister for Cultural and Knowledge Development, UAE.
Ramakrishnan, who is attending the WorldSkills Abu Dhabi 2017 meet, met the UAE minister at his residence. Other decisions taken at the meeting include ensuring job opportunities for technically skilled Malayalees in the UAE and collaboration between the UAE and Kerala in the technical and education sectors.
