APSSDC’s initiative Udyoga Ratham (Jobs on Wheels) getting poor response from employers and employees

Visakhapatnam : The Job on Wheels (Udyoga Ratham) the new initiative of Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC), got poor response from both employers and employees.

The APSSDC has kick-started the Udyoga Ratham to provide employment opportunities to local educated youth. As part of the initiative, a vehicle, which was sponsored by HPCL-VR, is visiting various places to register unemployed youth.

As per the week-schedule, the Udyoga Ratham parked at Highway bus stop near RTO office in the city. Few students from the areas and some citizens visited the vehicle and the executives of Udyoga Rathma explained the facility.

According to Location Manager of Udyoga Ratham Mohammad Khadar Moinuddin, as many 550 unemployed youth registered their names in September, 763 in October and 235 in November so far. Every month 50 jobs provided to eligible candidates but they are not joined in vacancies, he said and added on an average, 50 registrations being done daily and majority of them are B.Tech mechanical students, Moinuddin said.
