Haryana Vishwakarma Skill University partnered UK based NOCN, aims to cater to the future skill training needs of industry and academia

In a bid to enhance the quality of entire skill ecosystem and enable the Haryana Vishwakarma Skill University (HVSU) achieve international standards, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is signed with NOCN, a major awarding organisation of the United Kingdom (UK).

The MOU was signed in the presence of Vice Chancellor, HVSU Raj Nehru and Graham Hasting-Evans, Group Managing Director for and on behalf of NOCN and Managing Director, NOCN India Skills Foundation.

Speaking on this occasion, Raj Nehru said that HVSU and NOCN have agreed to work together to map common standards on job roles and skill training to enhance the skill development at global level.

He said that both entities would be working in areas of mutual interest, with an aim to cater to the future skill training needs of the industry and academia. The partnership would help bridge the gap between academic excellence and industry know-how, to create industry ready resources at international level beside supporting the Government’s ‘Make in India’, ‘Skill India’ and ‘Startup India’ program and preparing the Indian industry to compete on a global platform, he added.

Nehru said that the initiative would support creation of international mobility through mapping of job roles and development of transnational standards. The strategy for International framework focuses around implementing and adapting the best practices in skill development of European countries systems in India.
