Board of Technical Education, Govt. of Delhi signed MoU with NDML to digitize ITI certificates and academic records

New Delhi : In an attempt at going paperless, Delhi students undergoing different trades from Industrial Training Institutes (ITI) and Institute of Technology (IoT) will receive certificates and mark sheets online from the next academic session. This after the Board of Technical Education (BTE) Delhi will be setting up a digital depository of mark sheets, Trade certificates and other testimonials at the National Academic Depository (NAD).

The Directorate of Training and Technical Education (DTTE) on behalf of the BTE reached an agreement with the NSDL Database Management Limited (NDML) Mumbai to setup the digital depository. The NDML is a registered depository approved by the MHRD for providing digital services to all stake holders – Students, Board, Alumni and verifiers etc.

A MoU was signed between the DTTE and the NDML for digitalization of academic records in BTE Delhi for implementation of NAD services.

These depositories will be on-line store house of all academic records viz. mark sheets, certificate of Diploma and ITI and other testimonials etc. duly digitalized and lodged by BTE Delhi.

“It will also ensure easy access to and retrieval of Academic Record to students for their employment & further studies etc. Also, it will validate & guarantee its authenticity and safe storage of students’ records on National Depositories,” a statement said.

According to the DTTE, this agreement will facilitate BTE Delhi in the issuance, storage, verification and printing of digital mark-sheets, certificate of Diploma and ITI and other testimonials to its students, affiliated institutions and alumni.

The students need to register on NAD through their Aadhar number or NAD ID for availing various services available in NAD/NDML portal.

Speaking on the occasion, Manoj Kumar, director of DTTE expressed his hope that “with the operationalization of NAD in regards of BTE Delhi, and will be beneficial to the students in acquiring all the student related data like mark sheets, certificates etc. online and it will also save time and financial resources on getting various Academic Testimonials issued and verified from BTE Delhi.”
