Agriculture Sector Skill Council and IGNOU joined hands for skill upgradation

New Delhi : The Agriculture Skill Council of India (ASCI) has signed a pact with the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) for conducting skilling programmes for IGNOU students.

This is the first collaboration between a skill council centre under the aegis of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship with IGNOU, which happens to be world’s largest open university with three million students.

IGNOU will conduct agriculture-related skill and assessment programmes as per the National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF).

They will jointly develop skill development centers for training and capacity building across various segments of agriculture sector and conduct skill gap analysis for the agriculture and agri-allied segments.

IGNOU will support ASCI in the development of curriculum and course content for various segments, said Dr Satender Arya, CEO, ASCI.
