Scheduled Caste and Backward Class candidates to be given preference in Haryana during apprenticeship in govt dept

Chandigarh : The Scheduled Caste and Backward Class candidates would now be given preference in proportion to their reservation in Haryana, during apprenticeship in government departments, Haryana Skill Development and Industrial Training Minister Vipul Goel said on Wednesday.

Stating this here, Mr Goel said the state government has decided to appoint trade apprenticeship under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961 in the offices of all government departments, boards and corporations in the state.

He said the intended ITI passout candidates do not require to complete the formality of filling application form. Instead, they can register themselves online on the apprenticeship portal by January 20, 2018.

They could also send online application on the portal for apprenticeship in the offices of government departments, boards and corporations, he added.

Mr Goel said for apprenticeship, one should be a bona fide resident of the state, adding that out of the total seats available for apprenticeship in each institution, preference would be given to the SC candidates on 20 per cent seats and to BC candidates on 27 per cent seats.

He said keeping in view the interest of the candidates, their mobile number, Aadhar number and email ids are also being linked to the portal, so that they can get all related information on their mobile phones. The candidates also get detailed information from the concerned government industrial training institutes, he added.
