MSME-DI starts 6-week entrepreneurship skill development program in Kashmir

Srinagar : Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) Development Institute Srinagar on Monday kick-started a six-week entrepreneurship skill development programme in the valley.

“The programme, which will conclude on February 16, is organized in collaboration with Women Empowerment and Micro Entrepreneurship Development Cell, Directorate of extension S K University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K).

Addressing the participants, Saheel Alaqband, Assistant Director MSME said the aim of the programme is to facilitate the unemployed youth to acquire and keep themselves abreast with the latest skills.

Vice Chancellor SKUAST-K Professor Nazir Ahmad in his inaugural address, appreciated the role played by Directorate of extension in the transfer of technologies to the participants and also gave valuable guidance to the participants.

Director Extension Prof Mushtaq Ahmad spoke at length about the requisite inputs about the programme and expressed confidence that this will act as a catalyst in creating income and job avenues among the unemployed educated youth.
