4 day Mega Recruitment Drive started at Ranchi, 25,000 to get appointment letters on National Youth Day

Ranchi : The state government will organize a skill summit on January 12, the National Youth Day, and hand over appointment letters to 25,000 skilled youths.

“We target to give job letters to 25,000 youths, of which we have already selected around 21,000,” state higher and technical education secretary Ajoy Kumar Singh told the media at Harivans Tana Bhagat Stadium Mega Sports Complex, Khelgaon in Ranchi, where a four-day mega selection drive began on Monday.

“The remaining 4,000 or may be some more will be selected during the three days,” he said.

Nearly 60 employers or their representatives have assembled at the venue for the purpose.

The state government through Jharkhand Skill Development Mission Society imparts skill training to unemployed youths and students by tying up with reputed trainers from across the country.

The government has embarked on a learn and earn mission by setting up skill development centres across the state.

“The presence of employers from across the country and their selection of youths from the state prove that the skill development training provided here was of good quality,” Singh said.

On the job offers, he said youths had been selected for posting at various locations across the country. The prospective employers have also been asked to provide the recruited youths with food and lodging facilities.

Singh said the skill summit would be a huge affair to be attended by Union ministers, employers, representatives of other states and invitees from across the country.

“We are expecting a host of Union ministers, including Dharmendra Pradhan, Union minister for skill development and entrepreneurship, on the occasion,” he added.
