Adani Foundation part of the Adani Group, a global integrated infrastructure conglomerate on Saturday inaugurated a special CBSE school Adani Vidya Mandir (AVM) and a Vocational Training Center (Kaushal Vikas Kendra) in Surguja district catering towards the welfare of the children and youth of the tribal communities in Surguja, Chhattishgarh, in presence of Chief Minister Raman Singh and wife Veena Singh, Leader of Opposition TS Singhdeo and State Home Minister Ramsewak Paikra, a company press release informed.
The school will cater to 12 villages in the surrounding mining areas, and will also include nearly 561 students belonging to tribal communities. The school currently offers CBSE curriculum till the 10th std and offers each child with free of cost study material, uniforms, conveyance and Vidya Mandir will emerge as the torchbearer of education in the state of Chhattisgarh.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Priti Adani, Chairperson, Adani Foundation said that she was delighted to see that Adani Foundation is touching new heights.

Speaking on Adani Group’s presence in Chhattisgarh Vinay Prakash, (CEO Mining e-Trading and Director, Adani Enterprises Ltd) said, “The bond between Adani Group and Chhattisgarh is strong, warm and significant.”

Prakash further explained that the inauguration of Adani Vidya Mandir and Kaushal Vikas Kendra are two futuristic developments which have the potential to create an environment of entrepreneurship among the children and youth of Surguja.
