Minsk : Belarus will welcome 50 people from India who will get technical education in different fields, from automobile manufacturing to mechatronics in modern production management. The programs will last from three to ten weeks and envisage fee-based education at the colleges of Belarus’ National Institute of Vocational Education. The Indians are also expected to learn more about the operation of Belarusian resource centers and enterprises. Thus, Belarus joins the Skill India program initiated by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Today India cooperates with the UK, Germany, Singapore, and some other countries under joint projects in vocational education. “Belarus will become another partner of India in 2018. This is due to the fact that Belarus and India have achieved the goals set by the Belarus president following a visit of a Belarusian delegation to India in September 2017. The two countries have put into practice the Belarus-India memorandum of understanding on cooperation in vocational education and training signed during the visit,” the embassy clarified. “As a follow-up, a Belarusian vocational education center should open in India. This matter will be discussed in detail during the visit of India’s Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Anantkumar Hegde. He is expected to make a visit to Belarus in the near future at the invitation of Belarusian Education Minister Igor Karpenko,” the embassy noted.
