Himachal Government announced 25 percent subsidy, 2 new schemes and 100 crores allocation for skill development allowance to fight unemployment

Shimla : With rising unemployment being an area of major concern, he announced two schemes for the over 8 lakh unemployed youth in the 18 to 35 age group. He announced Rs 80 crore “Mukhyamantri Swavlamban Yojana” for providing livelihood and encouraging entrepreneurship and Rs 75 crore “Mukhyamantri Yuva Ajeevika Yojana” for setting up self-employment avenues. A Rs 77-crore Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana will be launched for skill development. He said bids will be invited for setting of white cement plant at Nohradhar in Sirmour and cement plant at Btoh Shind in Chamba.

25 per cent capital subsidy to the youth in the age-group of 18-35 on plant and machinery up to investment of Rs 40 lakh in industries; for women, the subsidy will be 30 per cent, interest subsidy of 5 per cent for 3-year loan of up to Rs 40 lakh, Rs 100 crore for skill development allowance.
