State govt to establish State Bank of India Rural Self Employment Training Centre to impart skill development training

Mahbubnagar : With the aim to provide skill development training for the youth in the age group of 18-35, Joint Collector Krishna Aditya and local MLA Srinivas Goud laid the foundation stone for the construction of State Bank of India Rural Self-Employment Training centre at the proposed new integrated Collectorate near at Palakonda in Mahabubnagar on Thursday.

While talking on the occasion, Srinivas Goud said even though the youth are completing their formal education and passing out 10th class, Intermediate and degree, majority are lacking the skills for setting up their own self-employment units.

At present, the construction of the self-employment training centre is estimated to cost Rs. 1 crore. As the government has already released Rs 50 lakhs, the district administration is planning to complete the tender process at the earliest and is set to complete the new training centre within a year.

For enrolling into the new training centre, the district administration is giving priority for the youth from rural background. “We will give priority to rural youth in skill development training like tailoring, embroidery, cell phone repair and other streams. Soon after completion of the training, the qualified candidates would be given certificate.

Apart from it, those who complete the skill development would be given help in securing bank loans for setting up self-employment unites, said the Joint Collector Krishna Aditya. The students, who would enrolled into the skill development training centre, would also be given travelling allowance on the first and final day.
