Nongsder : The Department of C&RD, Government of Meghalaya is implementing the placement linked skill development program for the rural youth under the scheme of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) of Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD), GOI. The remaining target for the state is 1737 out of the total target of 6411 unemployed youth during 2016-19.
The DDU-GKY, Meghalaya Cell through its Notification No. DDU-GKY/EOI/2017-18/47/Pt.I/1 invites proposal from interested Project Implementing Agencies (PIAs) to implement projects in the state of Meghalaya. Agencies who are interested may submit their proposals on-line at www.ruralskills.in as per the format prescribed by MoRD, GOI along with the application fee of Rs. 25,000/- drawn in favour of NIRD&PR, DDU-GKY, Account Number SB-62431332037, State Bank of Hyderabad, NIRD&PR Branch, IFSC – SBHY0020965.
The project duration is of a maximum of 3 years with proposals spanning for 3,6,9 and 12 months respectively. The trades that the interested PIAs can apply are the following:
1. Construction works including masonry, carpentry, plumbing, electrical fittings, welding etc.
2. Tour guides, vehicle drivers, mechanics and automotive workers.
3. General housekeepers, receptionists, delivery and pick-up executives, office coordinators.
4. Sewing Machine Operators.
Applicants who have already submitted their project proposals may modify or resubmit as per this notification. All interested PIAs are requested to submit their proposals as per procedures of MoRD on or before 30th May, 2018.
