LSSSDC exhibited scope of skill development in pharma sector, also organized Mega Pharma Job Fair at Indian Pharmaceutical Conclave

Noida : In order to motivate industry and youth to explore the opportunities in high growth pharma sector, Life Sciences Sector Skill Development Council (LSSSDC), exhibited in the 70th Indian Pharmaceutical Conclave (IPC 2018) at Amity University, Noida from 21 st -23 rd December 2018. The event was inaugurated by the Honourable Vice President of India, Sh. Venkaiah Naidu and pharmaceutical industry veteran Mr. Dilip Shanghvi, founder of SUN Pharma was the Chief Guest of the occasion. Mr. Surajit Roy, Sr. official from NSDC was also present on the occasion.

Speaking at the event, Shri Ranjit Madan, Chief Executive Officer, LSSSDC highlighted the scope in the fast growing sector. He brief how council is creating a support ecosystem for the industry to address the skill gap and leverage the training initiatives and schemes run under council.

Beside this, a Mega Pharma Job Fair was also organized to connect industry and youth. Over 20 organizations offered jobs to more than 100 students for roles MSR, QC, QA etc.

A specially designed Virtual Reality (VR) based demo module was showcased to experience the recent development in the pharma sector training delivery. More than 300 youth visited the LSSSDC stall to experience the VR based training module. Candidates were very enthusiastic to get trained in the job roles being offered. Faculty members of different colleges also praised the initiative.
