Position: State Program Coordinator – Community Mobilization & Training

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
Educational Qualification: Post Graduate Degree/diploma in mass communication/sociology/public health/social work
Experience:Â Minimum 3-4 years of experience in in conceptualizing, designing and conducting training programs and experience of managing and executing IEC plans, channelizing community mobilization efforts at district/state level
Skills required:
— Good knowledge and understanding of public health, socio-economic issues in India

— Excellent writing skills in English and working knowledge of Hindi is essential

Role Summary: The Program Coordinator – Community Mobilization & Training, as a part of Evidence Action’s technical assistance to Government of Chhattisgarh, will support Evidence Action Program Manager in planning and executing trainings plans and community mobilization and IEC campaigns for successful implementation of School and anganwadi based mass deworming program across all districts of Chhattisgarh. The State Program Coordinator is responsible for managing all aspects of the training cascade for deworming program including design of training cascade, development of training materials, training of master trainers, and training monitoring. The State Program Coordinator will also take lead in communicating and coordinating with IEC division of state health department to develop a comprehensive IEC strategy that promotes high program coverage, including of out-of-school children.
Reporting To: The State Program Coordinator – Community Mobilization & Training will report to the Program Manager.
Scope of Work:Â
— Lead efforts to develop and maintain high quality of training materials and share with concerned departments in Chhattisgarh for effective implementation of training cascade with high level of knowledge retention at each level of the cascade.
— Work with other team members to liaise with Health, Education and WCD departments in preparing and submitting training plans for approvals, ensuring cascade is implemented as per the approved plans, monitoring quality of training with effective coordination between stakeholders.
— Assist Program Manager with monitoring of training plan implementation, share feedback and results with concerned departments for necessary corrective action and improving cascade.
— Lead efforts to develop and maintain high quality of community mobilization and IEC materials with concerned departments to ensure effective communication of intended messaging to target audiences.
— Advocate and coordinate with officials in health, education and WCD departments for inclusion of deworming specific IEC material, operational manuals in the larger plans and program materials being provisioned under programs like National Deworming Day, Sishu Surksha Mah, WIFS, NIPI, RBSK etc.
— Advocate and coordinate with officials in health, education and WCD departments for integrated training of deworming program with WIFS, NIPI and RBSK to encompass the vast training needs and the expanded trainee universe, address issues of planning and operationalization of an efficient training cascade, while integrating supply chain and logistics of the deworming program.
— Provide supportive supervision to monitoring, evaluation and data collection processes in the field while ensuring utmost quality for the data being collected.
— Along with the Program Manager generate innovative ideas for reaching out to a larger mass with deworming information and thereby increasing program coverage for improved results.
— Guide Regional Coordinators and District Coordinators for various activities related to training cascade and implementation of community mobilization and IEC/ awareness strategy.
