Position: Director – Training & Education
Location: Pune, Maharashtra
Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
Educational Qualification: Post Graduate in Agriculture / Water Resource Development / Rural Management preferable.
Experience: At least 12 years of professional working experience in designing & implementation of training & capacity building programs for the stakeholders operating at various levels in Govt. & Non Govt. sectors. Candidate with relevant experience in natural resources management, agriculture development, Rural Livelihoods Promotion, Community Institution Building will be preferred.

Roles and Responsibilities:
— Lead the multidisciplinary team engaged in providing training & capacity building support to AFARM member NGOs, CSR, Govt. departments.
— Design & develop strategies & plans for training & capacity building of stakeholders keeping in conformity with organizations perspective & strategic plan.
— Prepare annual work plans for the training & capacity building dept.in line with overall training strategies.
— Facilitate periodical training needs assessments of various stakeholders of AFARM, based on which design & develop training modules/curriculums & training materials for the benefit of respective stakeholders.
— Design & develop proposals for training & capacity building projects & assignments & submit the same for potential donors for resource mobilization.
— Communication, Follow up, laisioning with Govt. depts. (State & national), Private players, national & international donors for resource mobilization.
— Periodic supervision, review & planning of activities of training & capacity building dept. & provide required technical and logistic support to the staff & agencies engaged in implementation of training & capacity building related projects.
— Prepare & submit the financial and physical progress reports in compliance with the project documentation and requirements of funding agencies.
— Identify critical issues in execution of training & capacity building approach, strategy & plans and submit them to the Executive Director/Executive Committee for consideration, and take actions to address the constraints at appropriate level.
— Participate, contribute and share acquired expertise and experiences with the staff, project partners, agencies and communities.
— Participate & represent AFARM in state & national level meetings, workshops, seminars etc. organized by Govt., NGOs, private sector etc.
— Cooperate & participate in Monitoring & Evaluation of Training & capacity building related projects as may be required within the organization.
— Administer & manage the functions of training & capacity building department.
Remuneration: Annual Package including CTC: Rs.6.5 Lakhs, It will be commensurate with the experience of the candidate.

AFARM was born out of an acute need for an Apex Institution to co-ordinate efforts of Non Government Organizations (NGOs) in their tasks of providing Drinking Water and Agricultural Extension services to villages in drought affected Maharashtra. It was one of the first organizations to operate as an Apex institution, in the country.
