Position: Research Associate – Policy Research

Location: New Delhi

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

Educational Qualification: Any Post Graduate (preferably Economics/ Applied Sciences)
Experience: Minimum 2 years of working experience with working knowledge of skill development ecosystem. Preferably from policy research background.

Skills required: 
— Knowledge of NSDC and Sector Skill Council functioning
— Understanding of Skill development ecosystem and its stakeholders, MSDE, NSDA, NSDC, SSC, State Skill Missions etc.
— Knowledge of writing reports, policy briefs, white papers etc.
— Strong verbal and written communication skills
— Superior attention to detail, prioritization of tasks, time management, and organizational skills
— Ability to handle stressful situations, demonstrating diplomacy and tact under pressure
— Analytical Skills
— Probing Skills
— Achievement oriented
— Effective Decision-making
— Self-motivated, energetic learner

Roles and Responsibilities:
> Develop policy briefs on issues impacting TVET ecosystem in the country
— In order to develop FICCIs stand on various policy issues pertaining to TVET ecosystem

> Track public policy issues and decisions impacting TVET space.
— In order to enhance the FICCIs internal capacity and identifying the FICCIs role in changing ecosystem

> Conduct Market Research of skill development ecosystem in the country.
— In order to capture the industries demand and support in identifying FICCI and governments role in addressing the demand

> Conduct critical analysis of the TVET policies and practices
— In order to identify the gaps in the current TVET policies and practices and develop white papers and reports

> Develop whitepapers, research papers, concept papers etc on the TVET systems.
— In order to strengthen the FICCIs policy advocacy with government and engagement with industry

> Support the FICCI Skill Development Division with day to day functioning.
— In order to strengthen the overall functioning of the division
