At present, JSLPS is operational with various programmes in more than 100 blocks spread over almost 20 districts of Jharkhand. For DAY-NRLM and DDU-GKY, JSLPS is the nodal implementing agency. The Society is also implementing MKSP and JICA funded micro drip irrigation project in Jharkhand. Apart from this, Social Audit Unit in Jharkhand is also housed in JSLPS. At present, JSLPS is having very good team of professionals working
at state, district, block and village levels. The Society has its exclusive HR system which provides a very good professional work environment for those who wants to pursue career in development sector.

The DAY-NRLM has demonstrated that the institutions of the poor can function as efficient partners for livelihood enhancement interventions. Government of Jharkhand is in advanced stages of preparing an exclusive project with the World Bank named as JHARKHAND OPPORTUNITIES FOR HARNESSING RURAL GROWTH PROJECT (JOHAR). This project focusses on diversifying and enhancing incomes of selected producer households having current and potential marketable surpluses. JOHAR project aims to
— Mobilize and aggregate rural producers including women and men from SC/ST and smallholder households into Producer Groups (PGs) and Producer Organizations (POs), with focus on diversification and/or intensification of their current production system, and improving their participation higher up in the value chain;
— Strengthen the competitive advantage of target rural producers by transfer of climate resilient production techniques, enhanced opportunities for value addition and effective market linkages;
— Improve access to financing, including innovative financial products, through the community institution platform and commercial banks; establishing partnerships with the private sector, including rural entrepreneurs, for effective forward and backward linkages with producers; and
— Support skill development and financing modalities to facilitate jobs and entrepreneurship with a focus on the value chain and agribusiness.

JSLPS being the nodal implementing agency of JOHAR is in process of building core project team for JOHAR. This includes Team lead and Deputy Team Lead at state level and Project Officer at district level.
