Big4 Consulting firm required Industry Engagement Specialist for Himachal Pradesh Skill Development Project under HPKVN

Location: Himachal Pradesh

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

Educational Qualification: Masters’ degree in Business Administration OR  Economics.
Experience: Minimum 10 Years of relevant Exprience

Skills required: 
— Social Service

— Strategic Project planning and Execution
— Industry Engagement

Roles and Responsibilities:
— Forming partnerships with Chambers of Commerce, industry associations, and SSCs to identify safe and decent internship and employment opportunities for the youth, especially the women and PWDs of Himachal Pradesh.
— Work from the office of the HPKVN with some travel to other states to meet with companies and sector skills councils, and discuss the HPKVN training and opportunities for placing skilled students.
— Attend industry conferences, show cases etc., and discuss and promote HPKVN training. Coordinate closely with the National Skill Development Corporation in this regard. Organize workshops for Chambers of Commerce and sector skills councils etc. in Himachal Pradesh.
— Consult with the industry associations to identify companies or sectors requiring skilled workers. Develop a network of employers willing to consider young people who have been trained in HPKVN training programs for employment.
— Facilitate agreements between HPKVN and relevant Chambers of Commerce, industries, sector skills councils etc. so that they begin to focus and rely more on Himachal Pradesh as a source for skilled people.
— Support companies find suitable training provider/s to deliver the skills required by them. Identify relevant soft skills or other desirable attributes identified by the relevant companies that will assist training providers find suitable students for the required training.
— Provide input into the awareness campaign targeting the youth of HP to undertake training through HPKVN.
— Advice the training providers engaged by HPKVN on their post placement support strategies for students placed in work within or outside Himachal Pradesh. Visits pass outs that have been placed in employment in other states.
— Provide updates to the office of the HPKVN on employer and pass-out satisfaction of the training and employment so that future skills training can incorporate the lesson.
— Assist DOLE in ensuring that the model career centers work effectively.
