Kaivalya Education Foundation looking for Program Leader

Organization: Piramal Foundation for Education Leadership (PFEL) / Kaivalya Education Foundation (KEF)

Position: Program Leader

Location: Jammu and Kashmir

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

Educational Qualification: Graduate/Post graduate in Social Work or Rural Management or Development Studies
Experience: 
— 3-8 years of experience in program management & program implementation in development sector
— Demonstrated experience in workshop designing & facilitation

Preferably with experience in:
— Designing and implementation of training & capacity building programs
— Experience in program management & implementation in education related project with the Government School System and in the state of Jammu & Kashmir

Skills required: 
— Proficiency in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel
— Excellent inter-personal skills & ability to work with people from varied backgrounds & levels
— Proficient in English, Hindi and Urdu
— Ability and willingness to travel as required  (up to  50% of time)

Roles and Responsibilities:
> Program Planning & Implementation:
— Responsible for enhancing leadership capacities of the district-level and state level Govt officers through workshops, on-site support and other innovative tools
— To plan, design and facilitate capacity building workshops
— Do robust micro level planning and provide on-site support to District-level and state level Govt officers

> Team support:
— Support the team to analyze and draw inferences from the data and develop work areas for the same
— Act as a single point of contact for all project related updates in the district
— Support Program Manager with designing & implementation of frameworks and tools

> Data Analysis:
— Gather and maintain data & information relevant to the program, such as learning indicators, school quality, etc.
— To monitor & maintain comprehensive database of the assigned area using data analysis tools
— Manage &analyze data required for program implementation at district & state level
— Draw inferences from data & prepare reports to share it with the Program Manager

Remuneration: Between 3,60,000 to 5,00,000 INR per annum based on skills, qualification & experience.

Piramal Foundation for Education Leadership (PFEL) and Kaivalya Education Foundation (KEF) intervention is through the Principal Leadership Development Program (PLDP), the District Transformation Program and the Gandhi Fellowship Program.

The state of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) has 22 districts. As per Annual Status of Education Report (ASER) 2014 survey from J&K, 61% children in class 5 can’t read a class 2 text and 75% children in class 5 can’t do subtraction. Piramal Foundation for Education Leadership (PFEL) and Kaivalya Education Foundation (KEF) are collaborating with the government of J&K to transform the learning outcomes across the state.
