Lend-A-Hand India invites applications for the post of Consultant for Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC)

Position: Consultant (AP State Skill Development Corporation)
Reporting to: CEO, AP State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC)

Location: Vijaywada, Andhra Pradesh
Travel: 25% within the state

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

Educational Qualification:
— 3-5 years of work experience (private sector/social enterprise/implementation of government schemes)
— Proven interest and track record in the area of skill development
Experience:
— Past experience of working with government agencies, especially at the state level
— Management consulting experience preferred but not a must
— Project management experience a must
— Past experience of working with senior management

Skills required:
— Excellent written and oral communication skills
— Excellent computer skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)

Roles and Responsibilities:
The APSSDC is responsible to coordinate the skill development efforts at the state level by working with various state departments and bring together various schemes. The consultant will assist the Dy CEO to
— Develop a strategic road-map
— Coordination with various state departments pursuing skill development initiatives
— Prepare repository of schemes, status and relevant MIS
— Develop industry linkages and their active participation on the skill development efforts
— Formulate department’s policy to secure resources via CSR efforts by the corporate
— Day to day follow-ups required by the Dy CEO of various stakeholders
— Conduct socio-economic analysis for ascertaining the gap between the skills and needs of the youth.
