Lend-A-Hand India invites applications for the post of Consultant (Vocational Education) – Dept of Education (RMSA), Govt.of MP

Position: Consultant (Vocational Education) – Dept of Education (RMSA), Govt.of MP
Reporting to: Additional SPD – Rashtriya Madhymik Shiksha Abhiyaan (RMSA), Deptt of Education

Location: Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh
Travel: 25% within the state

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

Educational Qualification:
— Proven interest and track record in the area of skill development
Experience:
— 3-5 years of work experience (private sector/social enterprise/implementation of government schemes)
— Past experience of working with government agencies, especially at the state level
— Management consulting experience preferred but not a must
— Project management experience a must
— Past experience of working with senior management

Skills required:
— Excellent written and oral communication skills
— Excellent computer skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)

Roles and Responsibilities:
This position is responsible to coordinate the vocational education project as part of RMSA (Madhya Pradesh). The consultant will assist RMSA to develop a strategic roadmap to execute the project, coordinate with the field staff monitoring and tracking, manage data collection, coordinate with external parties (NSDC, Sector Skill Councils, Vocational Training Providers, PSSCIVE etc.) for successful delivery of vocational education project under RMSA in the state.

About:

Department: RMSA was launched in March, 2009 with the objective to enhance access to secondary education and to improve its quality. Specifically, objectives of the centrally sponsored scheme of Vocationalisation of secondary and higher secondary education, which is part of RMSA are (i) to enhance the employability of youth through demand driven competency based modular vocational courses, (ii) to maintain their competitiveness through provisions of multi-entry multi-exit learning opportunities and vertical mobility/ interchangeability in qualifications, (iii) to fill the gap between educated and employable and (iv) to reduce the dropout rate at the secondary level.

Under the aegis of the proposed MoU between Department of Education(RMSA-MP) and Lend A Hand India the selected candidate will be part of Lend A Hand India’s team and will be deputed at RMSA-MP at Bhopal.
